To qualify for a residence permit in Portugal, non-EU citizens only need to make one of the investments foreseen in the law This residence permit will allow the investor and family members to enter and/or live in Portugal, and to travel freely in the vast majority of European countries (Schengen area).

The NHR (Non-Habitual Residential Home) is a tax benefit program aimed at non-resident citizens who seek permanent or temporary residence in Portugal.
Created to attract non-resident professionals, with high income and/or assets, it has a duration of 10 years and counts on broad exemptions in several categories of income obtained abroad, as well as tax reduction in high added value activities (proportional rate of 20%).
