In the eighteenth century, after the 1755 earthquake, and throughout the nineteenth century it became an area much in demand by the Lisbon nobility, where several noble houses and other large buildings were built that survive to this day. Overlooking the Tagus River, Alcântara, a former industrial area of Lisbon, is today a neighborhood of contrasts. The neighborhood has been modernizing with the construction of residential condominiums, new restaurants, and the creation of the Lx Factory, a hub of creative businesses, where we find an enormous age and cultural diversity. It is a small city within a big city. Its centrality, proximity to the river and green spaces make Alcântara one of the most desirable neighborhoods to live in.
Trendy crowds converge at the waterfront restaurants and clubs in the converted warehouses of the Docas de Santo Amaro, near the 25 de Abril Bridge.

Open since 1988, the restaurant owes its name (and fame) to the Nunes family, of Alentejo origin. It is not surprising, therefore, the fame of dishes such as the stewed partridge or the codfish açorda. There is an entire section dedicated to game dishes, and desserts include sericaia with plums from Elvas and encharcada from Mourão.
