The Estrela is also, and very much so, its garden. It was commissioned by the Marquis of Tomar in the mid-19th century and once had a lion in a cage. Today it is a beautiful green space with a round-shaped cafeteria and a kiosk. In the summer these two esplanades are perfect to take a tablet or a book and stay for hours in that quietness. If not on a Sunday in August, when Out Jazz is held there. In that case the music and attitude is different. This garden is a meeting point for friends and families. The playground invites you to spend your free time with your children and grandchildren, together, even if involuntarily, with the ducks that live in the pond next door. The truth is that everyone lives together in harmony. Perhaps in this space it is easy to understand the true meaning of quality of life. Far from the hustle and bustle of tourism, but close enough to the center that you can visit the city on foot or by subway, this is undoubtedly a safe investment!
